Your Role
Join our team as an Accommodation Support Worker and play a vital role in a compassionate, community-focused service supporting vulnerable individuals. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will support client intake, contribute to day-to-day operations, and help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents at Freeman House. Your Responsibility
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Deliver trauma-informed, respectful and non-judgemental care
- Facilitate activities and maintain accurate client records
- Support client wellbeing, advocacy and goal progression
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive environment
- Work across a 24/7 rotating roster including sleepover shifts
You Will Need
- Experience working with individuals impacted by homelessness, family breakdown, mental illness, or alcohol and other drug addiction
- Relevant Certificate or equivalent experience, or currently undertaking tertiary study in a related field.
- Strong De-escalation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Sound judgment in crisis and emergency situations.
- Non-judgmental attitude and commitment to ethical service delivery.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with data collection.
- Willingness to work a rotating roster.
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Drivers Licence.
