Your Role

As an Assistant in Nursing at Freeman House, you’ll be part of a caring and professional team providing high-quality support to residents and inpatients undergoing alcohol and other drug treatment. Your role is vital in creating a safe, respectful and empowering environment where people can focus on their recovery journey. 

Your Responsibility

• Support daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, mobility and meals

• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the clinical team

• Assist with patient admissions, discharges and related documentation

• Administer medications and treatments under supervision

• Provide reassurance and emotional support to clients and families

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and care protocols

You Will Need

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent

• AHPRA registration or completion of an approved AIN program

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

• Knowledge of infection control and safe work practices

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
