Your Role
As an Assistant in Nursing at Freeman House, you’ll be part of a caring and professional team providing high-quality support to residents and inpatients undergoing alcohol and other drug treatment. Your role is vital in creating a safe, respectful and empowering environment where people can focus on their recovery journey.
Your Responsibility

Support daily living activities such as hygiene, dressing, mobility and meals
-
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the clinical team

Assist with patient admissions, discharges and related documentation
-
Administer medications and treatments under supervision
-
Provide reassurance and emotional support to clients and families
-
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and care protocols
You Will Need
-
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
-
AHPRA registration or completion of an approved AIN program
-
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Knowledge of infection control and safe work practices

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
