Your Role

 

Within the Offsider role, you will work on a casual basis based in AuburnYour role involves loading and unloading of goods, assisting in the collection of donated goods and delivering stock into Vinnies retail stores and customers. Load and unload goods and assist in the collection of donated goods and deliver stock into Vinnies retail stores and customers. Assist in the daily operation of the warehouse and perform task as prescribed by the Transport supervisor in accordance with the Society’s policies and procedures.

Your Responsibility

 

  • Assist in the various tasks, including loading and unloading of goods onto trucks and vans, assisting in collecting and delivering donated goods etc.
  • Providing excellent customer service to customers and donors.
  • Providing delivery assistance to people requesting for Vinnies support.
  • Ensure the security of goods, equipment and vehicles; and ensure care and proper handling of goods during collection and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with work, health and safety at all times.

You Will Need

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant Workplace Health & Safety legislation  
  • Recent completion of a Manual Handling Course. 
  • Professional empathy skills in working with donors and welfare client’s good communication style with the public and other team members. 
  • Physical capacity to stand for long periods of time and lift goods safely. 
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.
