Your Role
As Team Leader at Mary’s Place, you’ll oversee the daily operations of a vibrant engagement hub, leading a team of Case Workers, Support Workers, and Volunteers. Mary’s Place is a welcoming drop-in centre that provides essential services and support for individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Your role is pivotal in driving service quality and consistency—ensuring every visitor receives the support they need to move toward stable and a brighter future.
Your Responsibility

Leading a small, committed team providing person-centred support in a community-based setting

Creating a positive, collaborative culture that empowers clients and staff alike

Driving service excellence through continuous improvement, training, and quality practices

Contributing to best-practice case management that supports long-term housing stability

Building strong relationships with external partners to enhance outcomes for clients

Taking ownership of operational oversight, reporting, and policy development

Supporting team growth through supervision, coaching, and regular reflective practice

Advocating for clients and ensuring trauma-informed care is embedded in all we do
You Will Need
-
Qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven experience in team leadership or service coordination

A understanding of homelessness, housing, and the community services landscape

A trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to working with vulnerable clients

Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
-
Strong reporting and data management skills.

A current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel as needed
