Part-time position: 29.5 hours across 5 shifts (Mon–Fri)

Your Role
This is a meaningful opportunity to provide direct support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. You will play an important role in welcoming new clients, supporting them through assessments, and helping to create a safe and supportive environment within the refuge.
Your Responsibility

Provide practical and emotional support to clients in line with trauma-informed care practices

Assist with daily operations of the refuge, including record keeping and accommodation services

Support group programmes and activities for clients

Advocate for clients with external agencies when required

Work closely with case management staff to ensure client needs are met

Provide safe transport for clients when needed
You Will Need

Must be available to work the following roster:Mon-Wed 8am–2pm Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am–2pm

Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in community services
-
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, supportive approach

Experience using client databases and Microsoft Office

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

Excellent judgement, confidentiality, and crisis management skills

Current First Aid certificate and NSW driver’s licence
-
Availability to work rostered shifts, including public holidays if required

A respectful and ethical approach, with a commitment to non-judgmental support
