Join Vinnies as a full-time Truck Driver and be part of the Transport team based in Cardiff. This role involves travelling within the Newcastle, Hunter, Mid North Coast and Central Coast on a regular basis. You will be collecting donations and delivering goods to Vinnies shops and to people we assist. As part of the role, you will be accountable for the security of goods, equipment and vehicle whilst on duty. Licence required for this role is MR or HR; a forklift licence is desirable.
Your Responsibility
- Ensure timely collection of donations and delivery of goods/stock.
- Provide customers (Vinnies shops and donors) with excellent service
- Implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all WHS standards and procedures relevant to warehouse and transport areas.
- Ensure the security of Vinnies assets that include goods, equipment and vehicle.
- Follow standard reporting procedures in case of damages to vehicles.
You Will Need
- Demonstrated experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Professional empathy skills in working with donors and clients.
- Physical capacity to stand for long periods of time and lift goods safely.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse workforce including employees and volunteers.
- MR or HR (Heavy Rigid) Licence.
- Forklift Licence is desirable.
