Your Role
Adele House is seeking a dedicated Counsellor / Group Facilitator to deliver meaningful therapeutic support to people experiencing problematic substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in trauma informed practice, deliver evidence-based interventions, and contribute to the recovery journey of clients in both individual and group settings.You will be joining a collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering impactful programs and supporting positive, sustainable recovery outcomes.
Your Responsibility

Develop case conceptualisation and treatment plans informed by client assessments.

Deliver individual counselling across a range of modalities including face-to-face, video, and telephone.

Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group programs.

Conduct risk assessments and manage emergency risk plans.

Maintain accurate and timely client documentation and reporting.

Actively participate in case conferencing, clinical supervision, quality improvement, and program review processes.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
You Will Need
-
Strong knowledge of trauma informed practice and evidence-based interventions
- Skills in facilitating therapeutic group programs.

Ability to engage clients with empathy, respect and professionalism

Experience working with clients presenting with AOD, grief and loss, and complex trauma.

Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

The ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a multi-disciplinary environment.
