Your Role

 

Diverse and rewarding role providing essential support to women and children escaping domestic violence and crisis situations. Be the first point of contact for individuals seeking crisis and transitional support & make a real impact by connecting people with the specialist services they need. You’ll be part of a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team that values continuous learning and professional growth.

 

Your Responsibility

 

  • Provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed support to clients.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate client records.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy, WHS, and risk management policies.
  • Build strong relationships with community services and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on relevant government policies and best practices.
  • Participate in professional development and training.

You Will Need

  • St Vincent de Paul Society considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  • Cert IV or higher in Community Services or relevant experience.
  • Experience in homelessness/DFV support and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of community resources (AOD, mental health, legal, housing).
  • Understanding of domestic violence and its gendered nature.
  • NSW Driver’s Licence and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
