Your Role

Love writing? Got a flair for social media? Want to pitch stories to media that resonate? Want to put your creative spark to work for a cause that matters? We’re looking for a Media & Communications Coordinator to join the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW team, 3 days per week. In this role, you’ll help tell our story, grow our reach and shine a light on the impact we make in communities across the state. From pitching stories to drafting media releases, creating engaging content and keeping our socials buzzing, you’ll have the chance to make your mark while learning and growing in a supportive team.

Your Responsibility

  • Draft engaging press releases, media pitches and case studies that get noticed.
  • Create compelling content for social media, newsletters and our website.
  • Help source and produce video, photos, and stories that bring our work to life.
  • Build relationships with journalists, media outlets and influencers.
  • Monitor news and social media for opportunities to share our voice.
  • Report on communication activities and the reach of our stories.

You Will Need

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, media, PR or marketing (or working towards one).
  • Strong writing skills, you enjoy telling stories and making ideas come alive.
  • A flair for social media and an eye for what engages audiences.
  • Great people skills, you’re confident building connections inside and outside the organisation.
  • A curious, can-do attitude and willingness to grow.
