Your Role

As a Payroll Officer, you’ll be part of a supportive team responsible for ensuring our people are paid correctly and on time. You’ll manage access profiles, maintain accurate employee data in Preceda, and keep payroll information up to date on the Vintranet. You’ll also handle a range of payroll administration tasks, from ATO uploads to parental leave processing, PAYG reporting, and the coordination of Fringe Benefit and Meals Entertainment card processes. This role also contributes to workplace safety, compliance, and risk management across payroll operations. This position is FTE max term for 9-12 months with possibility of extension.

Your Responsibility

  • Maintain secure and accurate access profiles for managers and self-service users.
  • Use Preceda to update employee records, pay rates, organisational structures and system rules.
  • Keep the Vintranet payroll pages current with forms, guides and updates.
  • Upload TFN Declarations, process Paid Parental Leave, create journals, and manage PAYG reporting.
  • Prepare Letters of Service and complete Separation Certificates as required.
  • Support the administration of Fringe Benefit and Meal Entertainment cards.
  • Ensure payroll information is accurate, compliant and always up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance colleagues to support effective remuneration and decision making.

You Will Need

  • Experience in HR or payroll administration with strong attention to detail.
  • An understanding of basic accounting and payroll terminology.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and alignment with our mission and values.
  • (Desirable) Experience working in a membership based organisation.
