Your Role
Exciting opportunity to gain the skills in Retail. As part of the EPRI program, the Retail Trainee will gain hands-on experience in retail operations, customer service, merchandising, and stock management while contributing to the organisation's mission of sustainability and community support.
Your Responsibility
- Provide excellent customer service, offering assistance and product knowledge to customers.
- Support stock management by sorting, pricing, and merchandising second-hand goods following pricing guidelines.
- Learn and apply visual merchandising techniques to enhance shop presentation.
- Support stock rotation by ensuring fresh and seasonal items are displayed effectively
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the shop, including sales transactions, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS) system use.
- Gain an understanding of sustainable retail practices and the importance of reducing landfill.
- Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers to achieve shop objectives.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
