Your Role
As Senior Internal Communications Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of how Vinnies NSW connects its people to purpose. Sitting within the Strategy and Engagement Directorate, this role brings together internal communications, storytelling and lived experience to ensure our Members, Volunteers and Employees feel informed, inspired and connected to the impact they help create every day. You’ll lead the development of engaging internal communication campaigns, bring executive and strategic messages to life and play a pivotal role in amplifying the voices of people with lived experience across the Society. Your Responsibility

Create and deliver creative, high impact internal communication campaigns, including executive messaging, strategic updates and engagement initiatives

Manage and evolve internal communication channels, introducing new tools where needed to reach diverse audiences

Build strong partnerships across the organisation to tell authentic stories of Members, Volunteers and Employees

Provide trusted communications advice and review, including support for change and transformation initiatives

Write, design and distribute engaging content across internal platforms, translating complex information into clear, compelling messages

Support the creation of video and photography content to amplify key messages and priorities

Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal communications activity

Establish, grow and manage the Vinnies NSW Lived Experience Network, including governance, administration, training and engagement processes

Act as the custodian of client stories, ensuring they are shared respectfully, ethically and effectively across the organisation

Strengthen the voice of lived experience in communications, advocacy, government relations, fundraising and media

Build trusted, ongoing relationships with people who have accessed Vinnies supports and services

Coordinate collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to enable meaningful storytelling opportunities
You Will Need

A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or business

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and channels

Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to work with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders

A creative, adaptable mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, responsive environment

Experience translating complex or sensitive information into clear, engaging communications

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Alignment with the mission, values and ethos of the Society, and a people first, impact driven approach

Experience working in a membership-based or volunteer led organisation
