Your Role

Ready to step into an exciting multi-site leadership opportunity where retail performance meets real community impact? As Retail Area Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of high volume stores across the Upper North East region - Gumbaynggirr Country, partnering with and leading volunteers to drive sales growth, deliver exceptional customer experiences and build high-performing, community focused teams. This fast paced, hands-on role is perfect for an emerging Area Manager, Cluster Manager or experienced retail leader looking to broaden their leadership capability, develop people and gain valuable regional operations experience within a purpose driven organisation. This is a 12-month max term maternity leave opportunity ideally commencing mid to late July, with travel across the region required, and flexibility to be based in Coffs Harbour, Grafton or Evans Head. 

Your Responsibility

  • Leading, coaching and developing store teams across multiple locations
  • Driving sales growth and achieving store KPI performance targets
  • Creating exceptional customer experiences in every store, every day
  • Embedding strong operational standards and visual merchandising presentation
  • Supporting stores to maximise donations through effective product sorting, pricing and merchandising
  • Building strong relationships with volunteers and the local community
  • Championing a positive and safety-first workplace culture
  • Using the organisation’s mission and values to guide decision-making and leadership

You Will Need

  • Experience leading teams within retail, hospitality or multi-site operations
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
  • Confidence managing store performance, KPIs and operational priorities
  • A hands-on, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to analyse business performance data
  • Experience working towards sales targets and operational goals
  • A current NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel throughout the region

 

Desirable

 

  • Qualifications in business, retail or management
  • Experience in large format retail, multi-site operations or community focused organisations
  • Exposure to stock flow, supply chain or operational retail processes
