Your Role
In this diverse and rewarding role you will support women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and confidence. You will be part of a supportive, values-driven team that is passionate about delivering real outcomes for the community.
Your Responsibility
- Providing practical and emotional support to people experiencing homelessness and crisis
- Completing assessments and developing personalised support plans
- Delivering outreach and in-home support to meet clients where they are
- Working collaboratively with government, community, and specialist services
- Advocating for clients while ensuring their dignity, safety, and rights are upheld
- Maintaining accurate records and applying a trauma-informed, non-judgemental approach
You Will Need
- St Vincent de Paul Society considers being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
- 5 years + experience working with people facing Family/Domestic violence
- Certificate IV in Welfare, Community Services, or a related field (or currently studying)
- Experience supporting vulnerable communities facing complex challenges
- Understanding of issues such as domestic violence, homelessness, trauma, and mental health
- Strong communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current NSW Driver Licence
