Your Role

 

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker who can bring empathy, energy and a practical approach to the role. You will be a daily source of support for clients, helping create a safe and welcoming environment. Working side by side with dedicated case workers, you will help put individual care plans into action and play a key role in creating positive, lasting change in people’s lives.

 

 

Your Responsibility

 

 

    • Be the Heart of the Community: As a compassionate first point of contact, you'll provide warm, empathetic support for clients, helping them feel safe and heard.
    • Support and Assess: Facilitate the entry and assessment process for new clients and assist with the daily operations of the site to ensure everything runs smoothly.
    • Collaborate with Case Managers: Work closely with case managers to deliver personalised, holistic support plans that are tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
    • Empower and Advocate: Engage clients in activities, help guide them through services, and advocate for their needs with external agencies to ensure they receive the support they deserve.

You Will Need

 

  • A heart for service, a calm demeanor, and the ability to offer non-judgmental, ethical support.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work within a collaborative team setting.
  • Experience or qualifications in social services, with a focus on homelessness, mental health, or community work (Cert IV preferred or in progress).
  • First Aid certification or willingness to obtain one.
