Your Role

 

As the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll design and deliver creative and meaningful programs and activities that reflect the goals,needs and preferences of our residents.  This hands-on, people-focused role is grounded in connection, inclusion and empowerment. You’ll coordinate and lead a variety of creative programs, encourage participation, and help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone involved.

Your Responsibility

  • Coordinate and facilitate a range of engaging , person-centered activities in line with residents goals, needs and preferences.  

  • Provide leadership and work collaboratively with the Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to ensure programs are well-designed and engaging, and aligned with participant needs.

  • Use strong calendar management to ensure activities are timely, well-organised and responsive to client goals.

  • Build partnerships and collaborate with community organisations to enrich program offerings.

  • Promote high levels of client involvement through consultation, feedback, and co-design.

  • Foster a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for residents, visitors and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to strategic and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the quality of services.

  • Ensure activities planned and delivered in line with risk management, safety, and compliance requirements.

You Will Need

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in community development, social work or a related field.

  • A understanding of the issues affecting people experiencing homelessness, trauma, mental health challenges or substance use.

  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities with ease.

  • Computer savvy with strong admin skills.

  • A valid NSW driver’s licence and willingness to transport residents for outings and activities.
