Your Role
We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Frederic House, a specialist aged care facility supporting older men impacted by homelessness, mental health challenges, and alcohol or drug dependence. In this rewarding role, you’ll deliver holistic, person-centered care while working closely with a multidisciplinary team in a setting that values empathy, dignity, and recovery.
Your Responsibility

Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to the unique needs of our residents.

Provide clinical support in areas such as mental health, addiction, and chronic illness.

Collaborate with doctors, chemists, and allied health providers to coordinate resident care.

Support residents through behavioural and health challenges in a respectful and compassionate way.

Monitor and document health outcomes, maintain accurate records, and ensure continuity of care.

Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and maintain compliance with clinical standards.
You Will Need
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Awareness of issues related to homelessness, alcohol, drug dependence, and mental health.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge, especially related to age-related health issues.
- Understanding of continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective workload management and prioritization based on resident needs.
- Professional relationships with residents, families, and representatives.
- Commitment to confidentiality and respecting resident values and preferences.
- Willingness to seek and apply new nursing knowledge.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic computer skills and experience using health information systems.
