Your Role

 

As the Manager of the Social and Affordable Housing Fund (SAHF), you will oversee statewide operations, driving the day-to-day success of this impactful service. In this diverse leadership role, you’ll ensure key contractual obligations are fulfilled, provide strong support and guidance to Tailored Support Coordinators, and manage the overarching SAHF program to achieve its goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and expand the program, inspire a committed team, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Leadership & Coordination: Implement the Strategic Plan within the SAHF team, providing supervision, coordination, and leadership to workers across the state.
  • Quality & Compliance: Build and maintain high standards aligned to contracts and sector accreditation indicators. Ensure reporting and contractual obligations are met within deadlines.
  • Budget Management: Understand budget parameters and present improvement strategies where possible.
  • Sector Knowledge: Apply a strong understanding of community housing sector legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Community Engagement: Support positive partnerships between tenants, local organisations, and the broader community, promoting an inclusive, accessible environment.
  • Advocacy: Promote the SAHF tenancy support model, address service gaps, and liaise with volunteer coordinators to support tenant households and community development.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide timely updates, accurate information, and transparent communication through line management reporting requirements.
  • Collaboration: Actively participate in reflective practice, team activities, state-wide forums, and the development of SAHF Services.

You Will Need

 

  • Experience: Relevant experience or qualifications in Community Housing, Case Management, or Human Services.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with diverse groups.
  • Client-Centred Approach: Proven ability to apply a client-centred approach to service delivery.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate integrity and drive.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT applications.
  • Travel: Drivers Licence + Willingness to travel as needed to meet program requirements.
